"SEATTLE AT NIGHT"
“SEATTLE AT NIGHT” is a mixed media collage Gabrielle created for the GREEN EILEEN CHOP CHALLENGE using 5 articles of damaged Eileen Fisher clothing she was given. There was much cutting,dyeing,photographing and sourcing of interesting repurposed papers for this collage which won BEST USE OF MATERIALS in 2014 This collage is SOLD.
Gabrielle has begun working on another Seattle Skyline At Night” and it will be completed by September 2018 hopefully. It will measure 24” x 24” more or less.
LIVING LANDS+ WATERS
.There is a wonderful non profit based in Moline,Il. whose purpose is to clean up America’s rivers, plant trees and educate all on getting our rivers clean again. Gabrielle knew the founder Chad P. which led to her creating a mixed media collage for them using bits and pieces of of materials pertaining to the nonprofit.

"AT SEA"
While living close to the beach in Santa Barbara,Ca. Gabrielle would often walk down the the harbor just to look at the boats. Which ones were cool, old, who owned them, and where did they go? When she decided to do a mixed media collage, she then turned her interest to finding all the colors of the Pacific ocean in Santa Barbara. She took pictures, played with water colors and gouache, in addition to sifting thru her inventory of blue papers,found objects and textiles”.AT SEA” collage is now living in South Hampton,NY.
Gabrielle went on to create many more mixed media collages based on her love of boats on the water.
FIGEL'S BOATS MIXED MEDIA COLLAGE
Gabrielle made this mixed media collage for family friends in Seattle after she stayed with them numerous times on her visits to Seattle in 2012-13. it was made of repurposed papers and textiles. It now lives near Lake Washington in the Windemere section of Seattle..

Gabrielle Created this sailboat collage while living near the Pacific Ocean where she loved watching the sailboats. The “Salilboat” lives in Maui,HI. now.
Kate+Dave's Wedding
Family and friends gathered in Cape May, NJ in 2016 for a wonderful wedding weekend there for Kate and Dave. Gabrielle used bits and pieces of the invitations, cocktail napkins etc to create this collage memento.
BOARD SCREEN
When living in Ca. Gabrielle wanted to create a privacy screen from the neighbors in her garden. She bought a folding screen with a scene on it but realized she should create her own art using the boards. The painted 1. BLACK&WHITE FLOWERS 2. PARALLEL LIVES, 3.GOFISH 4.ALL THINGS RED. For years the boards were exposed to the outdoor elements of the weather in Ca. and the midwest, so they are a bit worn but nevertheless wonderful individually or as a group.

Green Folks Friends
Gabrielle created a fun collection of Green Folks Studio assemblage friends. Shown here are left to right- Sharon ,Cajun Chef, and Big Nose Bob. They were made from found or left over sticks and small boards,buttons,repurposed electrical part,empty spice can,,meat tray and pieces of old clothing from Gabrielle’s Kitchen.
The assemblages are designed to be humorous and when hung in a collection very interesting and colorful.
"Lady Singing the Blues"
Gabrielle and her daughter drove 6 hours to hear BB King,Al Green and other top blues legends give a concert near Yosemite. The concert was in 2010. The collage was just a memento of a great trip and Gabrielle used the actual ticket has the lady’s face,buttons,yarn,repurposed clothing and papers to make this.

"LADY IN DOWNTOWN CINCINNATI"
Gabrielle was inspired to create this mixed media collage not long after taking an art studio near OTR. She used various papers like the map of the Contemporary Arts Center designed by Zaha Hadid and a menu from a non profit restaurant downtown selling pizza that also trains less fortunate people for working in food service. This mixed media was SOLD and lives in Cincinnati.
Gabrielle loves making women and girls and looks forward to adding a new series to her collection in 2018-2019.
"Parallel Lives"
Four acrylic paintings make up the panoramic image of this series. Gabrielle made this for people living in Santa Barbara,Ca. She loves stripes and color ,so it is always a go to theme she likes to do.
Lazy G'S Booth at GREEN FLEA,NYC
In 1995 Gabrielle wanted to spend the summer in NYC, so she sublet a sublet and lived on the upper west side on Manhattan. During this time she was buying retired furniture or finding it on the street ,painting it and selling it at the Green Flea Mkt. Lots of climbing up and down 6 flights of stairs with and without furniture got her into to great shape.
Tribal Mirror
Gabrielle grew to love African and Native American designs because most were colorful and could have a message in the design.This mirror was designed with some of the designs she liked and was made in 1994. It was sold.
