Gabrielle sees the old picket fence as everyday borders & neighbors in our lives. While she stitched upcycled textiles into collages, she thought of how many hands had touched the fabric and their stories. She decided to use primarily black/white/grey textiles on the second picket fence. Things are never just black and white. She also envisions creating a large installation using the individual textile collages.
